Welcome to the Forum Tweek. Going into winter there in Kansas might be the best time to buy one of the 2006's. You might even find a 2007 that a dealer is eager to get rid of. Good Luck, you'll have a ball with this bike. As a couple of others have already pointed out, winter would be the ideal time to do some mods and get yourself ready for some serious fun next summer.
