Gas Tank Vent Line Routing
My 2006 has two long vent lines coming out of the bottom of the gas tank that were routed up and going across the airbox top. I keep finding water in these houses even when i point them down. Is this how they should be route stock. May be caused from me washing the bike. Any pics of a stock bike showing the routing?
Both lines go straight down the left side of the carb', and then follow the vent hoses from the carb' and exit below the swing arm and rear shock.
This is the best shot I've got. Note the inline fuel filter.

Here are a few more shots that may help you too. I shot these the first time i pulled the carb to work on it so somebody else wouldnt screw it up....
Actually Ozs alignment behind the idle adjustment is a much better placement. think im moving mine like that.... :P

westOzklx, not to alarm you but I've had trouble with filters that use that type of media. After a while the fuels eats on the binder that holds the stuff together and you get specs of that gold stuff in the carb. Best to change them annually as a preventive.
It's a catch 22, because most other style filter media in those small filters are no finer than the petcock/tank filter.

BTW, I run the carb' dry every time I park the bike at home so the filter is dry too. May last a little longer that way!
