Job isnt done yet man, that was the easy part.

 

Got all my parts, new swingarm bearing installed yesterday, greased, inner race put in, new chain slider insalled on swingarm. Moving on to the steering stem bearing races then the bearings. New fork seal kit came, those and the new springs are headed up with me saturday to have the forks gone over and new oil installed with the new springs. Then i can start putting it all back together. New shifter already installed. New black UFO fork guards came and are waiting for the forks to be done to put them on.

Haha, thats my dads 73 chevy, has a 454 in it.

I had painted the original fork guards, and i didnt like how they wore, the design was kinda bad, i liked how the ufo design was. These will last alot longer than the stock ones.

 

Got it all done and back together today... man if your heavier than 150lbs you HAVE to buy new springs... world of difference. Cant wait for warm weather now.

I think I have that same jack - I love it. I use it the same way with the extension on the front side. It holds it perfect

 

Unless you have both tires, swingarm, forks all removed then if you try to take the steering stem bearings apart the bike will want to fall backwards, lol almost lost it. 2 straps after that.

 

Ahh, good warning, I'm doing my steering stem bearings this weekend! Any other tips?! I guess I should replace fork oil while I'm there.
