Default Fuelie?

Sorry if I slept through a prior discussion on this but is the KLX250S going to fuel injection next year? Here's a pic from Intermot this week:

That don't look like no carb to me.

Japan models already have EFI. I've heard no rumors of it happening stateside..yet. It's easy to performance tune if you have a Power Commander or equivalent.

I wonder if even a Power Commander could remap enough fuel for a big-bore kit. I guess it depends on the injector they use. Just thinking out loud...

What's up with those rubber footpegs?

I keep an eye on you hooligans! I miss my little KLX and hope to get another some day.

As for me, I'd welcome FI. I'm used to putting a power commander on and tuning that way and find that covers a wide range of airbox/exhaust options. Injector size isn't usually a limiter unless you go hog wild.

Yeah, I think the stock injector is more than adequate. It's one of those progressive designs with 10 total holes for smooth delivery, but it also looks like it has plenty of capacity. Get the right pulse width set with the Power Commander and you should be in business.

Sorry for asking such a lame question but, say I have a FI Equipped bike and I want to put on an Aftermarket exhaust, what do I do in the place of Re-Jetting? Say power commander doesnt have the map for that speific exhaust?
