A friend of mine blew the seals in his rear shock and searched online for a new one....$800!!!!!!! They don't seem to make a rebuild kit for them. He got lucky and found a used one on ebay for 40 bucks.

I need to do the same thing to match the suspension to my weight. Does anyone know if new valves are needed or are the stock ones ok. I was thinking just new springs but would get new valves if the benefits justified the cost.

No doubt, this would be just the opinion of the guy spending the money. Some would say that the stock valving is ok and that springs are all you need. I did both, springs and valving. I can't even begin to explain the differences. But I truly felt like I bought a new bike. The suspension work that MotoPro did was the single best inprovement that I have made to my KLX. It handles so much better.....I just can't say enough good about it.
It was expensive but after riding it, there is no doubt in my mind that it was worth it!!!

I was scared to death to yank the carb off and do my own work but it was super easy, so i don't think I would worry about the shocks and valving. It might seem intimidating, but I wouldn't sweat it. I am gonna try it in a couple months.

I shipped the front forks and rear shock to MotoPro. They changed springs in front and rear and installed their "Ultramax" valving set up in the front. With shipping both ways and them doing the work, I had right at $700 in it.
Now if the boss finds out, I'm holding you responsible!!!
