Default front forks

hi to all, once again asking questions that I know are already posted but I cannot find them. So.......whats everybody doing the front suspension..? I just cannot take bottoming out all the time and it time to fix it. Has anybody tried theinstallationthemselves?

is it better to just change the complete fork to KX or something or to do the up graded prings etc...?

cheers

i weigh 165 lbs.. dont do sick air but i do hang some, enough that i thought i broke the damn bike in half a coupla times. i dropped in .44kg springs. for me they are near perfect now. not stupid stiff and uncomfortable on the slab but they can take some hard landings now.

I only did the springs too. Some have sent them out for revalves as well. It really depends on what kind of riding you are doing and fast/hard you are pushing the bike.

I adjusted the clickers in and can take some higher jumps now. I guess the higher you get the heavier the springs need to be.

I have done most of the mods you have done so far + .42 springs for my 155lb frame. This plus 10w oil in the forks made a big difference to the front.

yeah proper springs for your weight and decent oil will do the trick, unless your Roger Decoster then your on the wrong bike.

Is the spring swap something reasonable to do at home with limited tools?

Couple people have done write ups with pics. Do a search of this forum with the title fork springs and you should get results.
