Hey dezryder, did you just change the springs only, or did you combine them with some sort of "gold valve"? I was thinking of just changing the springs first, then changing the valving later on down the road, and if that's what you did, I'd be interested in the results.

Tell me more! I'm mostly unfamiliar with working on suspension. I watched a video on how to change the springs and it looks very straight forward. No idea about shims and valves and such.

Here's good videos explaining the inside of the klx forks

Aren't group buys usually for a number of the same item?

What are the chances that everyone will want/need the same rate springs? ;)

No valving changes, just fork and shock springs. The springs were a major improvement off-road, also eliminating the ridiculous amount of nose dive under hard braking.

My suspenders feel pretty good to me now.

Well that's good to hear. Who's springs did you go with? The spring calculator between Race Tech and Moto Pro is way different, so did you go with one of their calculations, or did you go even stiffer? There's a big part of me that wants to go a bit stiffer than recommended to make up for the lack of travel, but that may be a mistake. I think I'm going the same route you did.
