Default Fridays joy ride

One of the joys of being self employed (and your own boss) is no one complains if you take a day off, which if what I did yesterday (friday).
Fueled up and left home from Karitane (east coast, south Is NZ) at 9.30am
and headed in land via the Pig Root

Stopped a the sumit for a few Pics

and motored down in to the Maniatoto plains, passing through Kokonag, Waipiata and on to Ranfurly for fuel and walk about.

after a look around and reading the weather forecast

it was time to move on to Naseby and Dansays Pass pub for lunch (blue cod and chips), after lunch I continued up over the pass

Now the bad bit, on top of the pass (well looking for a photo spot, with snow on side of road) I droped the bike on my left foot pinning me face down in the middle of the road, managed to kick the bike off foot with much pain, but the bike is OK
foot is not to happy today

So it was a good friday off work and I have today (Saturday) and Sunday to repair the body before Monday.
Total distance traveled 295km, fill up tank twice, had to turn on to reserve at 145km got home at 2.45pm, a great day.
Sorry no pic after crashing, maybe next time?

16 degrees C is 61 degrees F, I was curious, had to look it up. Nice pictures. looks like a good place to get away from it all. Hope the foot is feeling better.

Beautiful part of the world. You're lucky to live where you do.

Yes, alot of people don't appreciate whats on there own door step, like of the coast here you can see Penguin, Royal Albatross, Dolphins, Seals and of course catch a feed of fish all with out going more than 10km, Perth would be the same?

Seals, whales, sharks, eagles, kangaroos, sharks, dolphins, sharks. Did I mention sharks.
Perth has a lot to offer too, just make sure you take enough petrol. The distances are vast.

My local beach, less than 4 km away. Yes it's real, and no photoshop.
