Hey guys, I was just wondering... What are the free mods I could do to my klx? Except for the Exhaust? There is some airbox mod right? Could someone explain to me how to do it? And tell me if there are any other mods?

 

from my understanding in order to run with your air box lid off you need a jet kit to compansate for the more air flow

 

Ok so you mean, i completely take off the air box cover as in take all four screws off take the cover off and leave it like that and then re-jet the bike? Will this cause more dust to get in? And if so is it ok? Oh and also today i took out the air filter to check its condition, and it was soaked in petrol, is this normal or is the bike too rich?

 

no, dirt bike air filters have " air filter oil" its what catches the fine dust particles from getting into your motor, and taking the air box lid off wont let anymore dust in,,,, water is a different story.....

 

If you dump your bike in a river, the lid is not going to keep water out.

well at the time of those pics... i had the kdx snorkel in.... now, i dont have a snorkel at all, but the lid still.

 

Eric, I have heard dirt bikes have air filter oil, but this is pure petrol.. And my bike pops at decel too so probably its a little on the rich side? And will water go in when I'm washing my bike? I want to take the lid off tommorow hehe.. I dont run in water much but I dont want to be deprived of going in the water suddenly lol..And you guys got anymore free mods you can teach me?
