Sounds like a good ending. The OP's buds were paying attention out there.

Great story!!, Thanks for putting that up. Unfortunately the thief probably didn't get what he had coming. It sounds a lot like when I had my car stolen. The cops caught the guy in it. He was drunk and bragging about how easy it was to break in and, steal cars. Of course later his story changed. He was only charged with possession of a stolen vehicle because they said it couldn't be proven that he actually stole it , or that he wasn't going to return it. WTF???? His prosecution was a joke, and the only reason I got my ins. deductible money back was because I kept calling ,and bugging the states attorney. He actually told me the judge would award me restitution for my deductible but no restitution for the insurance company ( who paid a lot more than me) because it wasn't enough to mess with. Whatever, at least I got my car back, and this guy got his bike back, that's the most important thing. It just goes to show that their isn't much deterrent any more. Like someone on that other thread said " treat them like horse thieves and string em up".

my garage doesn't lock so I've always been concerned about someone pullin' a ****** 'n grab on my bike despite the steering lock and me always keeping the keys in the house. at least I have full coverage on it and since it's the only KLX I've ever seen around here, it'll be easy to spot if it DOES.....either way, I'm buying a disc lock tomorrow

glad to hear it ended well for him though!!

An eye bolt sunk into the concrete floor and a chain through the frame can slow the bastards down.
