Glad it was useful! Seems like half the battle is just knowing what to expect once you get in there.

for sure I might just have to give this a try. wasnt interested in taking the entire forks appart but saw the slacker way. now to find some ultra heavy duty springs for my behemoth body.

that'll do? I'm at 270 (lost 5 pounds in a week and a half ) now. Severe punishment on that bike for sure.

Many thanks for the info. After I read this and seen how simple it would be, it inspired me to make the mod. I ordered and installed some .44Kgs from motopro.
It's the last modfor this bike; did the 340kit, HMF, re-jet stock carb.
Thanks.

My guess would be that 0.42 fork springs would be correct for you. Call Moto ProSuspension (1-800-277-5089) and he'll get you dialed in.

At 175#, you probably don't need adifferent rear spring unless you're taking those monster jumps. Get a buddy to help you get the sag adjusted.

After talking with John today he decided to put me on the .46 front springs and 6.2 rear spring. My weight at 225 doesnt really require that but after talking to him about how hard I ride and after mentioning hare scrambles he went ahead and bumped me up to those rates. He said I would be especially happy with the stiffer springs considering how I ride.....(ask nobrakes )
