I put 3 1 oz. spoke weights opposite the rim lock to balance my tubliss setup. Also run 6 oz. of Slime in the tires. They aren't perfect, but they are good enough for speeds up to 70 mph, which is faster than I need to go on this bike...

I would assume that it's a good idea to do it with Supermotos but since I have dual sport knobbies would it be worth getting them balanced? And if so, where would I go to have it done? Any tire installation place?
I did mine. No pogo stick like feeling on paved roads at high speeds. Front and back.

I ride on the road & dirt.

You will need to get your wheels balanced if you ride on the road over 45mph. I had to put 2 rim locks on each wheel to get the wheels close enough to balance at the shop. I have the moto shop do it, if you don't have access to a shop, you can order a self balancing stand or something I believe or build your own.

If you ride on trails with rocks, getting a heavy walled dirt tire is desired over the squishy walled stock DS tires. My DS tires collapsed to the rim when I would hit rocks at low pressure.

Half @$$ balanced with stick-on lead weights equal to rim lock weigh on opposite side of tire. Huge difference, not perfect, good enough for the KLX.

Well I have been missing out then. I have been riding around at highway speeds commuting wondering why I felt like I could fly off of my bike at any time. Not smooth at all.

By the way, does anyone in here get their tires balanced? Is it even possible to balance dirt bike tires?
I had new tubes/tires/motion pro lite locs installed by the shop, but they don't balance the tires. So I did it myself:

I used No-Mar Re-useable wheel weights. Works great.

This is a huge revelation for me. Seriously. It was almost becoming a nuisance to go highway speeds because I didn't feel steady at all. I dreaded riding on the highway. Hopefully once I get these balanced out it will make a world of difference and I will feel more comfortable riding at highway speeds.

I made my own spoke weights. I doubt it is perfect but I dont feel a thing at 70mph. I copied the weights my buddies got off of Ebay.
