I just ordered a fmf q 4 pipe and silencer w/ a moose jet kit for my 09' 250s. Does anybody have info on instaling this stuff, what to do and not to do?thanks

 

Do a search here on the forum. There are plenty of threads with pic's describing what to do.

 

Putting the Q4 on is about the easiest mod you'll do. It takes literally about 10 minutes. Jet kits take a couple of hours. I just installed my Q4 and I LOVE IT. The powerbomb is in the mail and will be installed by weeks end... hopefully.

 

We did the FMF with power bomb, you will have to relocate your turn signals, exhaust will be right on it. We used the small trianble types recommended here and also ordered a new lic and tail bracket. looks and runs great.... Have fun

I've had my Q4 for 1100 miles now and mine is not as close as pictured above. No melting just a little black soot from running slightly rich. It wipes right off. Love the sound and with the jet kit it really wakes this bike up!!I let the dealership do mine, no warranty issues with Kaw. that way, took an hour and a half, and they fed me a free lunch while I waited.
