Default Fmf powerbomb-megabomb

Got a question for you pros? I have the carb done, airbox done, and the FMFQ4 slip-on. It made a huge difference. The question I have is what if any difference the powerbomb or megabomb will have on the bike? Is the gain worth the money? Thanks, Rick

I have the megabomb..

IT looks cool
it burns your pants
it quiets down the exhaust a tad
it increased throttle response and low end grunt a little
MX racers use them!

I like it

Yep, my megabomb melted my synthetic pants in 10 minutes. I've since wrapped it in 2 layers of header wrap and my pants are fine but it can still melt plastic if it touches it for long.

The powerbomb definitely increased my top end power, no question. However I have noticed that it is harder to loft the front in first just snapping the throttle (no clutching), clear indication of the top end power coming at the expense of low end torque.

Yeah I too had a minor melting of my synthetic pants.

I retro fitted the origonal heat sheild to my P-Bomb. No problems with melting pants yet.
