Default First try with the helmet cam-fail!

We ride some pretty cool places from nasty single track to fast old railroad beds and tricky logging roads. So I got a Go-Pro Hero to get some Videos. I can't believe the camera came out of this unharmed, the only thing damaged was the mount on my helmet which was easily replaced when I got home. Watch my channel for new Videos. Bike is a 07 KLX250S

Nice to see it survived unharmed.

I mount my VIO POV camera head on the side of my MC and MTB helmets to avoid that type of mishap. Things could get real ugly if the POV came off because of the cable to the recording unit.

Great video up to, and actually including, the camera dismount Looks like some great riding area you have there. Even if it is guarded by vicious ankle biters.
What part of the country are you in?
I have a gopro, but I knew a top mount wouldn't work for the places I ride. I ended up fitting it under my visor. Not every helmet will have room for the go pro there but it works great if you can.

I had to make a bracket out of some aluminum to attach it there. I will also say I have crashed and actually chipped the glass lens with it mounted under the visor. GoPro has a kit they sell for about $20 with two replacement lenses. That glass lens cover is thick! I was impressed when I replaced mine.

Thanks,I was ok. I've been down that path 1000 times!! Just never took that line I guess?? I was just dodging puddles,we usually jump the centers of the dry puddles.
I live in North East P.A. we have alot of different terrrains to ride in. I'm riding one of my favorite spots this Sunday so I'm gonna try to get some good video's.
