Default First serious ride

She got really dirty for the first time on the weekend.

These tracks are about 20 minutes away from my house. They go on for miles and miles and I doubt you could ride all the tracks in a life time. But I'll give it a try.

This my first try at posting a pic. Wish me luck.

This track was very steep and slippery. But loads of fun getting up.

And there mud, miles of mud.

This is Rob. We bought our bikes at the same time in an atempt to re-live our youth.

And one before we set out.

It's good to be back on trail bikes after 10 years.

Should have done a preview as the pics are too small.
A spell check wouldn't have gone astray either.[sm=imsorry.gif]

Dam thats harsh bro,

I agree on the picture size to small, 640x480 is perfect.

Nice pics the and the trails look amazing. Ride safe.

That looks like a great place to ride, neilaction! Couldn't ride it all in a lifetime, huh? Where do I sign up? I see you are from Australia - I've seen photos from other members from over there and you guys have some great riding for sure.

www.irfanview.com ... best little picture tool I have used.

Hey Brian, there is hundreds of miles of tracks starting 5 minutes away from where I live more than I will ever find I'm sure and pretty much all of Australia is like that apart from the bigger citys. Australia is approx the same size as the US not counting Alaska and we have about 25 million people as against 300 million in the States. As you can see there are a lot of empty spaces out there

Bastard! J/K - Australia seems like such a cool place. I wish I could pick up and move about every 5 years and live in another part of the world. That would be so cool ...

I'm on the west coast, Perth, which is a city of 1.5 million people. And I live only 2 miles from the CBD so it takes me 20 mins to "escape" and then it's state forrest here I come.

My state, Western Australia, is 1 million square miles of very little. It's just not practical to go trail riding way out there. You need to be very well organised to attemp such remote stuff. The riding is fantastic but nowhere to get fuel makes sit hard.

MaverickAus is lucky. Coffs Harbour is a very nice spot. mmmm And I bet the riding is at least as good if not better than here. More variety I suspect. Over here you can ride for a whole day with no change in terrain. And we have a lot of pea gravel. Very slippery and after a while not so much fun.

I know it's a long way but if anyone is thinking of an Aussie holiday and Perth is on the list, let me know and I will try and organise to catch up and maybe show trail riding "Aus" style. You to MaverickAus, fancy a trip out west? Way out west?

Thanks for the tips and links on resizing photos. I'm very green with all this but I'll work it out.
