Not clear? It tells you exactly what standard of oil has to be put in it. I brought it with me the first time looking for oil and found it using the manual.

Anyway, I'm going to leave it for now. I'll swap it out sooner ratherthan later or if I lineup for a long ride in the near future, but I guess I'm not too worried about it.

The Castrol GTX has detergents in it that are harmful to the bikes clutch plates Etc. You want to use a oil that is formulated for 4-stroke motorcycles. After the break in period I would suggest a synthetic oil like Amsoil, Redline, Etc. I use Amsoil 10-40. Hope this helps.

I've got half Castrol GTX and half generic 4-stroke motorcycle oil in my bike right now, and she seems to be doing fine. Both are 10w40

Because it seems kind of like a waste to toss oil with only 200mi on it down the drain.

I'm using Mobil 14-stroke bike oil. My local Autozone carries it which makes it more convenient to buy than the otherquality synthetics.
