First Aid Kits
So...do any of you carry one? If so, what do you carry and is there a special kit or component(s) you might recommend. I really should be carrying one on every ride, especially the off road ones, so I'm going to remedy that soon!

Anyone, Bueller?

The most important first aid - riding with another rider, not alone. I will not ride dual sport type riding alone. My brother does. A couple years ago a couple fawns came out of grass that was tall enough to hide them, crossed the road in front of him. He missed the first and almost missed the second one. Fortunately a car came by after the accident and he didn't have life endangering injuries, but still would have been bad laying out there for a couple hours if it had been remote enough. Just not worth it.
From there let's see what others say.

I agree, but I'd never ride if I had to wait for others. This ins't like the old days when a half dozen people were always ready to go. I think everyone has gotten old or...millennialed.
The animals are nuts this time of year. We've had deer, wild turkeys, and dogs run in front of us, and I even hit a hawk with the VFR last weekend. It is their world and we're just living in it, after all.

I like the kit you posted. Better than none. I'd say see if you could get some sanitary wipes, too. Put the whole thing in the tool pack if possible.
I was riding some trials this last spring and bailed off a few times. Chewed up my forearm a bit. Could have used some good wipes to clean it up better. It was rather interesting when I went into a Walmart and hit the restroom to clean up a bit, but still was rather bloody and gross. I got some antiseptic cream and went out. Some guy saw me and stopped by the truck for a chat. Seems his son likes the trials bikes... probably saw some of the Toni Bou videos. I said it was fun as long as I don't crash too much. But then I am older and had just started riding the trials bike again. The place we rode had a hare scrambles track that could have been sections! A kid would probably fare much better. I know I did about 50 years ago on my Sherpa T, but it's all different. The T had an actual seat and more rest time. The new ones don't. My legs weren't quite up to it yet.
