DJ needle is the way to go if you have it. It is the heart of the jet kit.

Was just thinking, people usually start at the 2nd notch for the n1tc needle, but I'm assuming it wouldnt be the same with the DJ one. I think it says to start at the 4th notch? (dont have my instructions handy).

Also not going to remove the airbox lid since i ride in puddles lots. got the high flow snorkel and a bunch of breather vents drilled in with the foam inserts. lots of air going in.
