I’ve been working on finishing this bike up for the past few years. It was the first and only bike I’ve ever purchased brand new.
Custom frame/subframe, full stainless center exit dual exhaust, quilted alcantara and leather seat, custom tank to fit around the frame, LED headlamp, custom front wheel (18s front and rear)
It’s taken me a lot longer than planned, but it hasn’t been a full time project, just work when I could here and there.
Now: turbo time or the +100cc big bore kit?! Needs more power.
You could duplicate it in a KLX650, which has similar frame and fork, much more power then add a 100mm big bore piston going to 678cc. They dyno'd around 38 hp stock, hop ups would be a flat slide big bore, pipe and even cams. It ain't your grand dad's KLR!

thanks! Would be interesting to duplicate something like that!
Very cool looking bike. Can you elaborate on the frame? When you say "custom", did you make it or have it made? That exhaust is cool. I would also like to see an exhaust that had the two mini-mufflers high on the right side a la Harley XR flat tracker. Not knocking the minimalist profile, but I'd like a small rear and front bobbed fender of some kind. Those are not knocks...just personal preferences.

Thanks! So the main part of the frame is stock, but 95% of the subframe is all custom, besides where the rear shock mounts. I kept that in the stock position. Basically just cut out most of the stock subframe then created a new one that fit the seat, tank and body lines I was going for. I’ve got great friends, one of my buddies did the welding and the trellis section. Super happy with how it turned out. (The subframe specifically)
Def dig the stacked muffler look too. I was toying with trying to do some kind of fenders for it, but since it’s basically a fully functioning show bike at this point I’m hoping I won’t need any haha. Appreciate the words!
