Help, I am broken down 3,000 miles from the dealer. KLX 250s 08. Started running rough last week. then the other night Left the ignition on and battery died. Roll started it and headed for the next village, crossed the river and climbed out and it got worse and worse. wouldn't stay running and Battery wouldn't charge so rolled back down to the river and walked home to charge battery and get new gas. Went back and started but ran super rough. pulled her home with another bike. Runs like when water gets in the carb bowl this one doesn't have a bowl being direct injection...?? air filter and box are dry, river wasn't deep. Drained fuel and put in new, nothing. checked all connections, spark plug cleaned and gapped. pulled carb off but nothing. It will run with low rpm but no power and increase rpm starts popping and dieing like running way too rich. The red light is on, FI, Digital Fuel Injection sytem. Says take it to an authorized dealer. That means put it on an airplane to fly it out to the coast... would prefer to get your help! thanks.

 

What code are you getting to cause the FI light to show? (There must be a way to view the trouble codes similar to how kawi does on the ninjas.)
