A few newbie questions
Hi guys,
First of all, I appologize for my english, its my second language and I dont get to practice it as often as I'd like so there might be some weird sentences or expressions along the way.
I just ordered a brand new KLX250S from my local dealership last night (negotiating over a few beers has its perks) and I will probably have it by the end of the week.
Now here are my questions...
What is the best way to go through the "breaking period"? Riding on the road or in trails at medium speed? And how long do I have to do this?
Secondly, I would like to know if the "half-inch hole in the exhaust-trick" should be done only after that or anytime doesn't matter.
Thirdly, I have read somewhere that asian bikes are subjects to "computer-induced" rpm restrictions that can be bypassed. Do north american KLX have the same problem?
Thank you very much for answering my somewhat idiotic questions...
M.

Ours is carb not fuel inj. An after market exhaust is the way to go. I dont know if the FI bikes have to be remapped or not for a lean condition if its closed loop o2 then no. Welcome to the site. I redone my stock exhaust just to try it out I went with a 1 3/4 metal bit and took everthing out back to the first baffle. It is almost as good as the HMF pipe I will use the stocker for in town use.
