Default A few modes installed HMF, Green Chain...

Here are some pics of my HMF installed with a little tweaking. I will take some close ups(I'll post heretomorrow)to show you guys what I did but I ended up cutting 2" of the pipe off where it attaches to the header thenmaking a bracket out of stainless steelthat attaches form one of the factory mounting holesto another. It fits great now with no clearance problems. As a bonusit doesn't stick out the back as much. I also added my Kawi green chain with the 45t rear and a set of dot approved LED rear turn signals. I have the fronts to match but I need to get longer stalks (I have to order them) so they will stick out enough to see them. The blinkers are rubber mounted and real bright!

The green on the chain matches great but it has the white chain lube on it still so it looks a little off. After I ride it a little I will give it a good cleaning and it will look better.

Looks awesome, Evildoer! I have to say that aside from the white faceplate, I really like the looks of the '07 graphics. Those look real sharp!

Nobreaks, I am with you on the white front. I just haven't decided what to do about it yet. I could wrap it with graphics, replace it with aftermarket one, or try to get my hands on a faceplate and light form the new KLX450. The light on that baby it sweeeeet.

The blinker are form Cycle Gear. I will find the package and post up the part #'s when I post some more pics tomorrow. They are the brightest LED's I have seen. I like the rubber mount and they are small enough to keep from hitting things (like the ground). I still have to find out what kind of resestor I need to keep them from blinking fast. I know it is an easy fix.

The pipe is more solid than the factory pipe. I love it.

Bike looks sweet evildoer. Just wondering, are the blinkers an issue as far as breaking them off, or more for aethestics. I haven't dumped it yet so I don't know, much to my wifes amazement. Jeremy

Well, I have fallen many times but the factory blinker just get scratched up or bend the brackets they are tough. I just wanted something that would look a little cleaner and didn't have to be adjusted every time I fall down. So, mostly for aesthetics.

Well, personally I wouldn't spend money to "fix" it. Could be that I'm just so used to seeing the green one that it just looks odd and after getting used to it will seem natural. Unless of course is gets broken or something, then maybe go for the KLX450 one. That diamond'ish light does look sharp on that bike.

They didn't come with load resistors? If not, 100ohm 10W resistors are a good starting point. Use two of them for simplicity when running the wires.Use one for each side. Wire one in parallel with eachledturn signal (go from ground to the hot lead of each signal).
