Default FCR 35 question for nobrakes

Have been searching all through the pumper carb posts but can't find the answer I am looking for. Did nobrakes ever rejet the FCR 35 he bought from FSW with the recommendations from Burned over on the Thumper Talk forum, and if he did, how did it all work out. Where did he buy the jets, needle etc. if he did rejet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I rejetted. Eddie's recommendation from TT was very close. I think the only variation I did from his recommendation was to increase the pilot jet size from his recommended 145 up to 150 or 152. Everything else was pretty much spot on, O2 sensor and dyno confirmed.

Thanks nobrakes, just a couple more questions, the reason is I'm waiting on an FCR 35 and am trying to save myself some aggravation in jetting etc. I'm up here near Baltimore so am pretty close to sea level as far as elevation goes. My bike will have the 300 cylinder and piston, full muzzy with quiet core and spark arrestor, K&N, backfire screen removed, larger snorkel, crankcase vent enlarged. Just wanted to know how my mods & elevation compare to what you were running with that carb. I know your bike was bored to 331, how do your other mods and your elevation compare with what I will be running? Thanks.

Last question, promise. Where did you buy the jets and needle that Burned recommended.
Thanks again.

I'm in central NC where the elevation varies from sea level to about 400 feet or so. I experimented for a bit on setup, but eventually just pulled the airbox lid and ran fully open. I did not remove the backfire screen, though. I had a UNI filter, full muzzy and quiet core + spark arrestor like you. I rerouted the crankcase vent up under the seat and used a crankcase filter instead of sending it into the airbox. So I think we were pretty close, with the exception of the 331 vs 300, but I'd say any jetting for one would be pretty close for the other as well.

I got needle and jets from http://www.motorcyclecarbs.com/ .
