MAN... that thing would be a blast to ride around on....I often wondered ifthe D.M.V here in N.Y.would give me a hard time registering a bike that has been convertedto street from another state. Would they honor the new title?
I don't know how or why they wouldn't.....with ktm's the title just says motorcycle not off-road like jap bikes.

Recently a bud of mine bought an 08 ktm 250 xc-w....two smoke, electric start and wide ratio tranny ..... it also come factory with cdi mapping switches. Straight from the dealer it came with a tag.... you cannot tag a Jap bike in florida, like NV and other states.

btw that bike rocks

That KTM Duke would be pretty cool. I'm liking the Ducati Hypermotard too. Maybe a TE610 - still pretty dirt-able but more comfortable for longer trips.

I'd also like a vintage dirt bike. Some of those old bikes really speak to me. Like this old Husqvarna:

Somehow I just love the lines on that bike and its proportions. It's gorgeous.

If $ was not an option..I'd think about Husqvarna's TE610. For a road bike the Triumph Street Triple. Sweet ride!!

I'm going to buy another dual-sport, one that is a little more road-worthy than the KLX. I'll save the KLX for the single-track. The US introduction has been delayed until fall...but...I've made a deposit for a brand new BMW F800GS.
