Gears 4-6 up or down no prob. Anything three and under, especially going down, my left foot feels like a palm reader. Would be nice to have something smoother, but since my bike cost less than the decals on an F-1 car I'll learn to make do.

My 09 has a problem with being in fifth and when I try to shift down there nothing there,let out the clutch start tapping on the lever with my foot and it works fine,has any body had this problem?

I ground the star like the article suggests and it helped the missed shifts and false neutrals greatly. I didn't use the dowel didn't need it.

No problems! Quality oil, changed out every 2000 km or so.

The bike has a long throw at the lever so requires more foot foot movement than my other bikes. Once used to it again I don't find any neutrals. Also DS gearing on any bike usually has you going 1-2, 2-1 on tight trails, probably more prone to hitting neutral more than say a 2-3, 3-2 geared trail bike.
