Default exhaust before jet?

Hey guys, just a quick question...I bought a hole saw bit 1 3/8 inch to drill out my exhaust and also a 1 3/8 diameter length of pipe to weld back in as an end cap...I want to try and achieve the same results as zappo bulls eye? ...I have a jet kit on order, but that won't be in until the week-end...so I am wondering what harm can come from me doing the exhaust first and possibly going for a run or two while I wait for the jet kit? (also have the uni-filter on order--also guessing Ishould leave the airbox lid off after rejetting?)

thanks for your input..

If you're gonna hog it out as much as I did, don't run it at all. I did start it up and rev it a couple times, but I DID NOT ride it. It still only has 750 miles on it, and Iwasn't gonna take no chances puttin a hole in the top of my piston because I wasn't patient enough to do it right. Please wait!! Man after a couple of days riding it now, it really does run like a raped ape! I just measured to the point of the most inner baffle wall from the end, and it's nine inches from the end. Re read that whole post (except for the weight lifting), and take into account every single thing I did to get these results. This is how far you'd have to go to really open it up.

Adding: I just loked it up, and my altitude is 147 feet. REALLY LOW. I'll be the first to drown when the tidal wave hits!
