Because I am tired of waiting on my Muzzy, I went ahead and modified my stock exhaust. I cut the endplate off, then removed the first baffle plate (which is the one that everyone has been drilling. The second is about 8" further in so you would have to have a really long drill bit to get to it. I drilled it out then welded a 1 1/8" tube in the endplate and put it all back together. I don't know what is sounds like or how it performs yet because I'm waiting on my pilot jet before I try it out. I'll try to post some pictures, then let everyone know how the performance / sound is after I get it back together.

Please post a results post. Thank you for the pics. What material was the exhaust made of? What did you weld it with? I would love to do this mod, and I am an accomplished welder. However I only have the equipment and supplies for steel.

Do you think JB Weld would hold up in this situation?
