Default Edge 2 Tail light kit

I have an 09 KLX250sf and i have recently hooked up the edge 2 tail light with the 601 blinkers. I hooked it up and tried the blinkers out and brakes and what not it worked great but then the running light for the tail light wasn't working and also the headlight was out... Blown fuse. I noticed while trying the blinkers they were blinking extremely fast. I saw on here somewhere that you can do something to the motorcycle to slow down the blink rate and have the tail light draw less power. Obviously the tail light kit is drawing too much power (Blown Fuse)... I only had it hooked up for about 20 minutes before the fuse blew. SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!

Get a wiring diagram & start again. Use good connectors or solder everything together. Use decent insulation tape on everything, sounds like an earth fault for you to be blowing a headlight fuse. I spent a good few hours installing my Edge2, as it can get water under the tail plastics. My friend had a Thai mechanic fit his in 30mins flat & had nothing but problems until we re-fitted it properly.

The Edge2 draws less power than the original tail light as it's LED's.

You can buy a relay that slows down the blinking on the indicators.....I was going to get a relay myself but i now quite like the indicators blinking faster than every other bike! Any help with being noticed in Thailand & not getting rear ended at a intersection/turning is all good!

If it's blowing a fuse then there is a problem with the wiring, probably a short or wired backwards.

This is why I ordered mine with stock connectors already soldered on. It took me 10 min to replace the stock tail light on my bike. No need to solder or isolate any wires.
