Default East Coast to West Coast in One Day

Here in NZ that's possible. Did a 250klm trip the other day here in the Far North of NZ.
Trip took in both coasts and the forestry in between.

Cable Bay is Home. Crossed over to the West Coast from Houhora, through the forestry and then down the coast until Waipapakauri. Then home to Cable Bay on the East Coast.

looked like a blast. as for 4 days here in the us, are you talking comfortably for racing it, comfy, i would say 2 weeks on a bike unless you want 300 plus days and not stop and see anything. record for on stop in the us (new york to la, pier to pier) was 31 hours 50 minutes iirc. alex roy is a car god.

Hey dann88, here's some more pics for ya.
Just about every beach here in NZ is classified as a road. If not there will be a sign. The dunes are fun.

The above three pics are of local surf breaks I hit when not riding.
I live in the area in the background of the last shot.

Most places are accessible by bike. Loads of accessible forestry tracks and there are several beachs on the West Coast that stretch for miles. The top two photos in my opening post are of one that is 65 miles long.

Need to make my bike a little more bullet proof before I start venturing to far off the beaten track. Got headlight protector on it's way from Australia and a Ricochet Utah Skid plate on the way from the US.
Not to many accessories available for the 09 down here yet.

Yeah i was grabbing a number off the top of my head, and I meant just riding, no sight seeing.
US = 3000 miles / 4 days = 750 miles per day. 750 miles / 65 mph = 11hrs of riding a day.
I'd rather ride across NZ in a day .
