Default Dynojet Help

Hi, I am in the middle of installing the dynojet kit. This is the first time I have messed with a caburetor, so forgive my ignorance, please.

1) I have the new snorkel, I have done the crankcase mod and removed all the smog stuff. Also, I have stock exhaust and I will drill 1/2" hole in it. I am planning on using 128 jet and eclip on 4th position. Is this the right setting for my setup?

2) Is the main jet in the center of the carburetor? Do I have to remove the float bowl to switch out?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Raul

Howdy Raul, the main jet is the big brass one you see when you take the bowl off. I would suggest 125jet and third from the top. If it doesn't feel smooth in the mid-range, then go to the 4th. Your going to like the improvement.

Thanks for the info. My kit only has 120, 124, 128 and 132. Can I use 124?

How about 124 and 4th. or a bit richer 128 and 3rd. I'm running a 128 and stock needle, the 125 was too lean for me.

I wonder if somebody has the same setup as me. If so, what are you using?

I screwed up(been sick all week), sorry. Good catch Bill. I was running the 125 before I drilled the exhaust. I am running the 128 jet with the stock needle. When I drilled, I lost 5mph at the top end on the freeway(too lean). I mixed up Todd and I, Jim Beam and cold medicine can do that. 128/stock needle = 125/KLX300 needle.
