Default DRZ400 Motor in a KLX250?

So they make a KLX400 and apparently it uses the same motor as the DRZ400. If the old 400 is the same bike as our KLX250 shouldn't the motor swap in from the DRZ?

The KLX400 - DRZ400 was made by Suzuki.

Looking at the frames side by side looks like a no go.

If one was to magically fit a DRZ motor into the KLX frame, I'd bet valve adjustment service would be a blast...like pulling the motor to get the valve cover off.

KLX450 might fit with some massaging, but why you would transplant it, unless you need the titled frame from the 250 for DMV purposes.

A friend has DRZ400 and I took a look. I don't think it would fit in a KLX250 with out major fabrication. I would just buy a DRZ400 unless I came across the engine real cheap.
