I'll second that. He was fast and helpful. I used the same light as the one in IG's photo and it bolted directly to the rear subframe bracket bolts, leaving the third bolt hole forward of the rear two. Tell him you want the same light the Ride Oklahoma guy bought. (BTW, he has these with smoke lenses too). I bent the aluminum tab up toward the rear fender and used the hole to mount a small clamp to secure the wiring. I guess there's an option of leaving the rear subframe pieces on and removing the luggage rack bracket or leaving the luggage rack mount and removing the rear subframe rails. I left the rails for grabbing and lifting, but I see the advantage of using the rack bracket as a fender mount which would leave us the option of re-installing the rack. That's the great thing about home grown fabrication. It's all good if it works for you.

Interesting.... I wonder if it is brighter than the Baja Design tail light and if it mounts as well with the Maier MX rear fender?
I count 15 led's in the baja design and 16 in the edge. They should be close to each other. Is the edge DOT approved? I know that the baja design isn't but does have a white plate light.

The one with the red lens is DOT approved. The onewith the smoke colored lens is not.

Yeah, I do have some time on my hands right now. I was looking at myold thread to see if I had included the wiring info to help-out the guy with the newMaerfender/Edge 2 thread. I saw that question still hanging and justHAD to answer it.
