Default Does kawi not use torque wrenches?

seriously why is everything so damn tight on this bike! Sprockets way to tight. Then i go to change my front brake pads and the screw pin deal is WAYYYYY to tight. I got one out but the other one strpped so i had to drill it out a bit and pound the next size bigger allen wrench and it came out.

So i wanted to go riding the next day so i put the new pads in an put the old stripped screw in.. barely torqued it down and it was fine.. just venting on kawasaki and there rediculous muscle man assembly people!!

My bike is much the same but some stuff was also just finger tight also, makes you wonder if my bike was put together on a Monday.

Try getting the nuts to some of the gears in the case off. I folded and crushed two pennies and a nickel trying to jam up the drive gears to take the nut off. Never got them.. Impact, breaker bar, gallon of PB, nothing. Ended up just buying new bottom end to not deal with it.

I always thought there was a guy over there laughing as he put his torque multiplier away.

I think cheap metal alloys and dry threads also contributes. That front brake pin and the screws on the carby were cold welded for me and required destructive action to get them out

I think your right. I do a lot of work on german compressor blocks that have grade 8.8 alen screws. I noticed one time when I was working in very low light that I could see sparks when the head bolts finaly broke loose!
