I tried a DAJ to correct a mid-throttle stumble. No help.

First question is if the jetting has been adjusted. I did the DAJ originally with a shimmed needle, it didn't have enough range to deal with the stumble at around 55 mph, the adjustable KLX300 needle did so, from there the DAJ smoothed out the rest of the range. I stayed lean on the main jet. My brother did the jetting first on his bike, rode it and then put in the DAJ after the fact. It actually smoothed out his over all carbureting so there was some lean condition in it.

The stock set up is too lean to resolve the full lean condition of the stock set up. It takes jetting in, then backing down a bit. Of course if you never deal much with elevation change and temp extremes simply jetting in may be adequate.

Second question if jetted - is the stumble from being too rich? The DAJ does nothing for a rich condition.

If it weren't for the shipping cost from Canada I'd be interested in the kit since I gave my brother the one I had for my SR500.

 

I have two years left you on the extended warranty. So my hands are tied until then But thanks anyway.
