Default The Deej Report

Decided to get off my butt and go for a ride yesterday. Ended the day with 64 miles on Forest service roads. Rode up to a wash out from 6 years ago, I had heard they fixed it, a million bucks later. I couldn't believe how big this thing was.

This was from the small washout which I rode to like 3 weeks ago, I thought this was the only one, but apparently from yesterday it wasn't.

This was right at 3100ft in elevation.

Then I turned a corner to see the biggest culvert I have ever seen on the peninsula, and the biggest repair of any road slide that I have ran across.

It's hard to tell, but that culvert is at least 10ft if not 12ft across.

Interesting too was this, evidently this was put in to stop large debris like logs and larger rocks from plugging the culvert which is why this washed out in the first place. Kind of like a snow block for trees.

It was good to ride the bike again, here is the track.

Left at 4:30 got back at 7, pulled into the driveway and my wife had been home from work for 45 minutes, and she says and I quote... "you didn't have to come home early, you could have rode more" She's the best!!!

There's some serious tax dollars at work there. Thanks for sharing, and you're a lucky man. Treasure your wife!

Oh - and it's about time you took that KLX out.
