Is this some type of premonition?
All kidding aside, I like the idea of extra gas, I just dont like the idea of side mount plastic tanks, to many variables to consider.
I hope they work well for you.
Oh yea, have fun, that looks like a fun place to spend a few peaceful days and nights.

Well its funny you should ask, just today I got 2 out of 4 of the guys to agree on a tentative date. Now I need to call the other 2 guys. Looks like August 21-the 27th. But that could change 5 times between now and then. One of the guys that is going is in a band and its like pulling teeth finding a date where they are not playing somewhere. [8D]
I can't do what you did. They have banned the use of plastic containers for gasoline in Japan about 2 weeks ago. I have already replaced my plastic containers with metal ones.
I hate to thread jack so Good Job Deej.
Now onto the thread jack. I'm confused by the fear of him catching himself on fire. I got a lot of that from people when I was thinking of doing similarly to get extra trail mileage on my CR250. So my confusion comes from the fact that we (not on a street legal dirtbike I realize) all have a plastic gas can between our legs every time we ride. What is so much safer about the plastic gas can that comes stock? It leaks out of both ends without much effort at all. It is a touch thicker than most gas cans that I'll concede but it's still plastic.
Someone please explain the safety built into the stock gas "can" that's not included with deej's auxiliary cans.
Until someone clears up my confusion I say good job Deej and if they were going into production I'd certainly consider a set.
