thanks for the link Gerry thats just what I needed. I'll let you guys know what's wrong when I start tracing wires and figure it out.

U R Welcome. That's a great site. I'd really lean towards a main Fuse like Deej said. Or a Ground wire maybe. Good Luck, I know you want to get some riding in.
