I saw these silencer inserts on a local website the other day.

They look like a quick easy way to reduce noise until you get to the trails.
Has anyone tried one.

No magic there.
It's an exhaust baffle. They don't do much, but they do take a bit of the bark away.

The dawn thing doesn't make much difference, helps a little bit to take the worst bark out of the pipe but it doesn't make it quiet.

Too expensive for what it does, IMHO.

Deej, I'm not trying to bag on you or your Muzzy, but If that Muzzy is too loud it's not good for the sport. I know the saying "loud pipes save lives" and I'm sure there's some truth to that. But....
I just read this article in the recent issue of Dirt Rider.
http://www.dirtrider.com/features/14...r_2/index.html
They listed excessive noise as the top issue affecting our rights to ride.
You've got a smaller group of greenies that want to take away all the riding areas and then you've got a large group of non-riding public that really doesn't care either way.......until someone on a dirtbike or ATV does something annoying, then you've got one more vote against the off road crowd. The article in Dirt Rider makes it sound like we are really in danger of losing a lot of riding areas, and they encourage every one to get involved and make your voices heard.
I think everyone should read that article and then do something about it. I already don't have enough places to ride. I'd hate to see any more riding areas closed.
I want to ride some of those sweet spots in Washington some day.
I'm not saying you should lose the Muzzy, just maybe try not to glorify how loud it is.
Not trying to offend
Dan
