Default Cylinder Bore Increase

Gents,
Looking for some feed back from those who may have increased the cylinder bore from 72mm to 78mm or even 80mm. ( 300 / 310 )
What I;d like to do is bore the cylinder and have it re-plated. We;ve got a shop here that does outstanding work and highly recomended. http://www.mt-llc.com/
I know I'll get lots of replies to just install the B.B 351 kit. I looked at Bills kit seriously and have nothing against it, but prefer to keep the nickasil bore for cooling reasons.
Thanks in advance for feedback.

if its only going to go to 300 or 310, why not stock kawi parts, they made them that way for a reason.

I got a stock klx 300 cylinder, piston and the rings she ran with for about 2k miles.......make me an offer....say $300 shipped. You keep your cylinder etc.

Bolt on and go.

Or you can get nicasil coating with the 331 kit from Kustom Kraft.

I see his point. Buy piston, rings, gasket etc, and get your buddy in the shop to bore/hone your cylinder and plate it. Cheapest option by far.
