Default Custom Fabricated Front Brake Line Guard

Here's a couple photos of my newly fabricated front brake line guard:

(There are more images in my Photo Gallery)

I got the idea from rkutzner's post & photo in the skid plate and brake guard thread (https://www.kawasakiforums.com/m_59413/tm.htm). Functionally, it did what I wanted to do, but I wanted something with a little more style.

I had a front guard that was similar to rkutzner's, but after making the bottom guard, ... well, let's just say there was a definite mismatch. I'm going to redo the front guard design with a curve that leads into the bottom guard, and add the holes to create a unified look (even though it's 2 pieces).

Isn't it amzing what you can do with a hacksaw and a Dremel?!??

Mike

P.S. - I just realized that I haven't road tested it yet ... that would suck if it whistled in the breeze!!! (Or would it "blow"???)

Very nice, is that steel or aluminum? Looks like the angle steel you get at Home Depot?

Man you've got a good eye! Yep, it's Home Depot 1"x1" steel angle iron. I used an aluminum rust paint to make it blend in.

Way cool! You really should do a limited production at least and see what kind of response you get. Of course that cuts into ride time but I would certainly be interested.

Very nice! What tools did you use? Just a vise, hacksaw, BAH, and a dremel? I'd like to try and make my own.

Normally I am a "make my own" kind of guy, but (a) I don't have a Dremel tool and (b) I really like yours, YYY.guy. Chalk me up for one if you decide to fab some up and sell them.
