Default Current Gen KLX Models and Aftermarket Wheels

All, I spoke with Woody's Wheels about getting an enduro set of wheels for my 300SM and received the message below. Does anyone know what they might be referring to? I can't imagine what the speedo drive would impact to put it into limp mode. Nor did I realize the KLX even had a limp mode.

Hello Joshua,

So, in talking with our supplier it seems that the company that was making these hubs has found that the aftermarket hubs seem to put the bike into limp mode for some reason, so they will no longer provide for this model until they can figure out the issue. Apologies that we are not able to be of more help at this time. We hope to have something available again for this model in the future.

Kind regards,

I've been chasing some afternarket rims for mine in Aus and so far the three a swers I have been given are:
  • Can only use OEM due to the speed sce sensor.
  • You will need to send your original doen so we can machine some hubs up.
  • Supply OEM hub part number So we can build a set fro, scratch with the OEM hubs.

I ordered a complete set of oem dual sport wheels from Rockymountainatv.com but the backorder has been pushed back twice. Current estimate is May 13th for shipping.
