colored wheels for '09?
I was thinking about getting some gold wheels for by bike, like the old KXs had in the late 70s and early 80s. I have always thought those bikes looked sharp.

Black wheels like those on the newer KX250Fs would also look very cool. Blue or green wheels might be ok, but I would prefer gold or black. I've done a lot of searching with Google, and I haven't found anything specifically for the '09 KLX250S. I would like these wheels to fit either the stock tires or the Michelin AC-10s I have on there now. I don't know if anything is available, maybe I was looking in the wrong places.
I'm also looking for a good bike stand so I can change wheels and do other stuff to my bike, as soon as I can get my garage cleared out. Maybe some good tire changing equipment also.
If I can't find the wheels I'm looking for, I'm also thinking about maybe some street motard tires and wheels if the are easy to swap repeatedly. I plan to do a lot of trail riding, but maybe the motard wheels might come in handy in the summer. Sometimes I like to head down to the local dragstrip for "test and tune" nights with my Mustang, maybe I'll take the KLX there on some nights this coming summer.
I'm not commited to getting some new wheels, but I'm trying to explore the idea and see if any of my pipe dreams are possible within reason. So, any help and constructive input would be appreciated.

These are for the KDX125, I think they are the same hub design as the KLX, not sure about the 09 though. There is always the option to have your wheels anodized whatever color you want. Most places will do them for around $40 per wheel, but you have to take the spokes and hubs out yourself, and relace after you get the wheels back.

I like those gold wheels, I would be afraid they may not fit the '09 correctly. I think one of the changes they made to the '09 was the wheels when I read and watched some press release tests on the '09. The anodize route sounds like a good option. Maybe I could buy another set of stock wheels and have it done to those, and then mount my stock tires on them. I could use my stock tires to ride in the summer when its dry and hard packed on the trails, while also logging more street miles. Then I could ride the other set of wheel that have the Michelin AC-10s during times when I need more traction. Hmm, just thinking.
If I get serious about motard wheels, I may ask you to see what you can find. Still thinking about that one. How long does it take to swap to motard wheels?

That's also an option I'm looking in to.
This unseasonably warm weather is driving me nuts, my bike is still at the shop until after New Years'.
