I bought a set of kx125 friction plates. The width of the disk material is 13.5mm compared to stock 8.5mm. which 60% increase in clamping area!! I'm planning to put this together with 355 kit. I feel standard springs might work. Anyone tried kx125 disks and standard clutch springs on 351 kit?

Sorry I don't have any info on the clutch plates but it sounds like there should be an improvement with the increase of surface area. Does the clutch material appear to be the same as the stock KLX plates?

Is it a Keng 351 kit that you're installing on your bike?

better to have stronger clutch springs ready to install if the stock ones fail. It wasn’t more than a week after installing the 351 before the stock clutch was slipping sadly. EBC212 hd clutch springs slipped after a few months. Buy Kengs springs or Barnett

355 kit from Keng. Clutch material looks different, but hard to say. Overall as other already mentioned kx125 plates look superior quality - better finishing, more solid. Made in Japan.

Yes I have stiffer clutch springs. Just don't want stiff clutch lever.
