Clutch cover
I ordered a new clutch cover for my 09 klx250sf (mine is all scratched up) is there a write up somewhere on how to change it or is it so simple that a write up is not needed?

Super simple:
Unbolt the clutch cable bracket down near the cover - two 8mm's
Unhook the clutch cable from the clutch arm or whatever it's called
Unbolt clutch cover - can't rememebr off top of my head but maybe 8-10 bolts all 8mm.
Then the cover comes off. You can re-use gasket if it's not damaged.
Also - drain your oil first or it will fall out when you pull the cover. *OR* shut off fuel and lay bike on it's side to avoid doing an oil change.
Eazy peazy.

Yeah, I've seen guys just before an enduro and at a gas stop at an enduro changing a clutch in just minutes in past years.

Thanks, the reason i asked is because i noticed on some pictures i found online that on the inside of the clutch cover there is some kind of metal plate held on by 4 bolts bolted to the inside of the cover any thoughts on that?

There's a bunch of photos in my 351 build thread if that helps...

Hmm, thanks for the detailed pics idridr but i still dont see the inside of the clutch cover, since you reused yours (i think) in that job there probably wouldnt be a reason to show the inside.
This is what im talking about
Is there any special way to transfer that "plate" over to the new cover or just simply unbolt and re-bolt into the new one.
and what about that shaft that goes down inside the cover the clutch puller/cable attaches to.
