10$ close out Titax rear brake rotor from Rocky Mtn. ATV Fits KLX250r 93-96 KLX650R 93-00

I tried it on my stock hub 06 (I also have a 94 klx250r rim on the bike now that is exactley the same) it fits on the hub but it's 10mm taller the stock rotor so it will rub the brake pad slider bolts. I'll have to mill it down a bit with my lathe although you could get creative and use an angle grinder etc. Thankfully it's the same thickness as stock.

I was thrown for a loop at first because the holes are 10mm in the rotor while the bolts are 8mm. I figured out that the bolt head fits in a recess and centers the rotor. I checked against my stock rotor and it was the same.

I finally got around to installing my RMATV 10$ rotor and I must say it's comparable with the stock one. I had to mill 5mm off the radius (10mm dia.) to get it to fit wich was a complete PITA but I got it done. Luckily I have a very old lathe that the rotor just fit in with no room to spare. At first i tried the milling bit? and it just chewed it to pieces, next up was a file wich also failed so I was forced to use an angle grinder. Even with that it probably took 30-40 min. After a quick sanding and some paint it looks exceptable and will eventually be for my "dirt" set of wheels as soon as I find more bolts. It's not the easiest project but I love modifying/building things and wasting my time tinkering in the basement. I'm sure a machine shop would do this for a few dollars if your not so handy.

 

There's my titax rotor, on klx650 hubs and 17 inch wheel. There is extra room at the top for the "waves" of the new 09 rotor. Rear brake works well.
