deej, I'd be worried more about the rust on the chain than any dirt I saw on your pics. Don't they sell chain lube in Washington?

It's alum and way over designed (ie heavy) ..... well my 06 is

Clean the swingarm, replace the guide. You should be ok on the small grooves you have on the swingarm. Run it! clean your chain and check adjustments.

Okay...so the swingarm is aluminum...lol....I musta been weak the other night, but it is way heavier than a DRZ swingarm for sure....but definately not heavy enuf to be metal. My bad....sorry guys. Musta been the budweisers...lol
