hey guys,

im up for a new chain and sprockets

long to spend around the $200aud for everything(i will install)

what brand etc have worked, i have heard about the harded style lasting around 60 000 - 100 000 ks, as i am a cheapy i would like them to last a long time.

i am planing to run 14-46 sprockets, thoughts on this, im running 14-49 and would like some more road friendly gearing.

Renthal sprockets and DID chain. I run the 14/46.

 

I used a 108 link D.I.D. premium chain (~$100) and a 46 tooth JT Sprocket rear (~$35).

14/46 gearing works well. I run about 500RPM more in top gear for any given road speed (at least in the mid-range ) and have more power for sand and hard starts off road.

Buy a 13 and 15 tooth front and you can run stock ratios to really low offroad gearing.

 

Renthal R3 'O' ring chain and Renthal Ultralite rear sprocket with a JT steel front. 13/45 gearing, 108 links in the chain.

and for every one who is running 14/46, at 80kph what rpm do are you at

would love to go for the chain gang but the sprockets are way to expensive, really good, but out of the budget.

Basically I want to know what to run if I want the bike to be as quick as possible out of the hole and then what to run if I want good top end speed. I have a 351 kit on the way so keep that in mind.
