Besides the the lift-type of stands there are a couple of others, that is useful to us.
I've bought this one for lubing the chain - though a solid stock would have done it ;o)

Oh - i might as well tell you how it works ;o)
Place bike on side stand - place this device between swingarm and ground on the opposite side of the bike - turn the large nut w/2 pegs 'till rear wheel lifts off the ground.
Easiest if you start turning nut to prolong it to just about long enough to fit between swingarm and ground before you place it under swingarm ;o)

I some time back when I bought a swingarm stand I saw the step up stand at Harbor Freight, but when I looked on Harbor Freight's site they didn't show the step up stands. Not to say they don't have them though. I'd check there first.

I just got this for my 250SF. The flat bar stock fits on the swing arm great. Lift's the rear right up. $40.00.

I have a few bikes and need to purchase a stand as well. Will at Pit Bull rear stand work on the KLX250sf?

The one I use does. It has the dual fitting on it that will fit a bike with or without spools.

Hey Eagleman, post up a picture of the BMW, I'm looking at an 1150 GS rght now, its a 2000 for $5900.00
