So what you're saying is "parts are parts"...

I disagree. Is there a difference between the Apple products sold in Apple stores in the USA (made in China) and the "Apple products" sold in the unauthorized "Apple" stores in China?

Nah!! The talk that our Chinese friends do a lot of R(ipOff) & D(uplicate) is just rumours.

Haven't heard a good rumour by noon, start one.

That is the most sensible thing to do. By doing that not only do you avoid buying total POS products, you also are not supporting a country with horrific human and animal rights issues.

They are good at the former, the latter they suck at.

Yep - rumors... just rumors...

Is China Stealing America's Top Stealth Fighter Jet Secrets?

Hope you're brushing up on your Chinese. You're going to need to be able to speak it well in the not-so-distant future.

if you are ordering these levers...stick to the lighter colors...it'll fade......it's a slightly loose fit, but still secure...

lever update
got them on a brand new bike
so around 6100 miles on them

red still looks red
black still looks black

no fading show here exposing the black thats always under the rubber cover

my friend got a similar set maybe from the same ebay seller
but the levers were red
one side faded really bad to pink
other one still looks new

so may just be the anodizing process maybe some are done better then others

I would still recommend them, working just fine all this time

I've had mine on a few months and they seem to perform as well as the stock levers.
They fit to the perches well, the only issue i have noticed though is the brake light doesn't come on when squeezing the front brake lever, any one else get this?
Also I've not had anyissues with paint fading etc etc....

I'm guessing the pin in the switch is stuck "in" from looking at my '09 with those levers just now. With the brake applied try getting in there with a big safety pin and flick the pin out.
